How can Lexia help you and your students during these challenging times?
We've had Lexia for a few years, but not every campus has had it. The exciting piece that has come out of the urgency of need, and response to a big need for our students once they were at home, is that we have launched Lexia for every elementary student in the district.
And I think that's the biggest and the best piece that has come out of all of this, because we know the power of the program—with a high degree of implementation and efficacy behind what teachers are doing with students, and how students are responding to it—we know that the program is highly effective.
We've seen the research, we've looked even at our own data, where we've had a crosswalk between how our students perform, who have had high usage and made progress and where those comparisons were made for our NWEA assessments.
So we know that this is a powerful tool, and having it districtwide for every elementary student is the best thing, in my opinion, that could come from something so bad, is that now every elementary student has access to this.
